Attention all 8th Graders -  It is time to apply for FCPS high school magnet programs for next year. Please visit this link for available programs and district magnet application.

A Spanish Immersion Family Night will be coming soon at a BSHS football game. The effort is to draw students from all parts of the program to the high school and further engage SIP parents from all schools. The game is on October 14th against Scott County. Passes are being designed to give to students to attend the game for free. You are welcome to bring any family members and staff members are welcome as well. There will be designated areas for the schools to gather at the game and each school will be recognized at halftime.

*  BSMS Cheerleaders are invited to cheer at a Tennessee Titan's game on August 20th!

*  Congratulations to our Volleyball team!  They won a bronze medal at the Bluegrass State Games.  Way to go Bearcats!

*  Congratluations to Mr. Adair for obtaining a $600,000 grant to start an Alpha League program in every middle school in Fayette County!  Awesome work!

*  Alpha League on the radio!  Please help with donations to send these young men to Washington DC!  Check out their Facebook page.

*  Congratulations to our track team at the state meet!!!  BSMS Girls came in 3rd place at State Championships and Won City Championships.  The boys came in 4th place at State Championships and 3rd Place at City Championships. No other school had both goys and girls teams place so high at state or city.

*  Congratulations to Andrew Lewis!!!  He won 1st place in the state science fair!  He will now continue to the national level in June.  The top national finalists get a trip to Washington and meet President Obama!! Congratulations Andrew!  We are very proud of you!!!!!

*  The Herald Leader recognized BSMS 7th graders who tested and qualified for state accolades in the Duke Talent Identification Program.  Congratulations to Grace Brown, Sarah Jones, Benjamin Shapere, Acacia Smallwood and Elena Verdecchia!  Click here for the full list of district qualifiers! *  Congratulations to our Track Team!  During the City Championship, BSMS Girls Won 1st Place, Boys Won 3rd Place with the Fayette County Male Athlete of the year going to William Wharton and the Fayette County Female Athlete of the year going to Kayla Smalley!! Congratulations All!

*  Congratulations to the Jazz Band!  They earned a distinguished rating at Henry Clay High School for Jazz Assessment.  This is our first time ever going. Congratulations!!!

*  Congratulations to the Orchestra!  They earned a Superior rating  and won 1st place of all orchestras at the Music in Parks assessment in Louisville.  Way to go Bearcats!

*  Alane Adams, author of The Red Sun, visits BSMS to speak to students and to play her game BattleKasters! Click here for the article

*  Congratulations to our Robotics Team!  They won 1st place in the state robotics tournament beating out all state high schools!  Congratulations!  We are proud of you!

*  Congratulations to BSMS Battle of the Books team!! Arden Ensor, Grace Brown, Erin Kendall, Hannah Campbell and Zach Henz, team captain, won 1st place in the district finals at Norsworthy!  You can see the competition on Channel 13 or through our online link here.  Way to go Bearcats!!!

*  Congratulations to all our bands and orchestras! They each earned a distinquished rating at their assessment at UK!  We are proud of you!

*  Cincinnati's Professional Wheelchair Basketball Team Visits Bryan Station Middle School!

*  Congratulations to our "B" team boy's basketball team for winning the city championships!!!  We are proud of you guys!!!!!

*  Congratulations to our Dance and Cheer teams for winning first place in their division during the tournament!

*  Congratulations to our district science fair winners:  Elke Coenders and Andrew Lewis!  They will advance to the reginals.  Awesome Job!

*  Congratulations to our school spelling bee winners! Bailey Robinson won for the 6th grade!  Jessica Franco won for the 7th grade.  Damarcus Burks won for the 8th grade.  Way to go Bearcats!

*  Congratulations to our archery team!  They participated in the Lexington Winter Shoot Out Archery tournament.  Tyler Marcum finished 5th overall in the middle school division out of 132 boys.  For the girls, out of 102 participants Josie Grant finished 8th, Isabella Soult came in 5th & Elena Verdecchia finished 1st!  Way to go Bearcats!

*  Congratulations to our Alpha League!  The district wrote an article called Alpha League Raises Expectation at Bryan Station Middle.  Click on the link to read the article. Way to go Alpha League!

*  Bryan Station Middle School tries all-girl classrooms and daily exercise to raise student achievement - Check out the article in the Lexington Herald Leader. Way to go Mr. Diaz, Ms. Wilburn, Mr. Adair, and Mr. McPeek, and Ms. Peare!!!!

* Congratulations to our "B" team Volleyball team!  They were runner ups in the district.

*  Deafness no obstacle for dance team at Bryan Station Middle - Way to go Bailey Locker!!!

* Congratulations to our football team!  They were runner ups in the district.

*  Mr. Diaz and Ms. Isaacs went to Washington DC June 3rd to receive an award for BSMS from Congress for being a Green Ribbon School.  Click here for the full document of the award ceremony.
